    • Estimates are subject to change.

      Sawyer Fredericks = 437K [377K from 10x bonus songs]
      Meghan Linsey = 194K [134K from 10x bonus songs]

      If bonus is applied to every purchase of a particular song, then Sawyer has a 2.43 million vote lead.

      The season finale performances are also eligible for the 10x bonus (not the coach duets). Additionally, first-time purchases of prior songs through the close of voting count as votes.

      Could you show how you did the math on that? I wonder how some of us are so off. :)
      I am taking the sales numbers from Kworb so they are subject to change for this week.
      Sawyer = 377,000 x 10 + 60,000 (sales from non-bonus song) = 3.83 million
      Meghan = 134,000 x 10 + 60,000 (sales from non-bonus songs) = 1.4 million

      difference = 2.43 million

      Am I doing it wrong?
      I always thought that the iTunes multiplier only apply to eligible vote period. ?(

      You would need to have noted where each top ten song finish position and multiply the digitalsalesdata.com/ sales for the day then add the non bonus portion of each song.

      I think you're correct. Section 2.3: g1.votenow.tv/?app=web#rules

      It's not spelled out clearly, but it doesn't appear that song purchases outside the voting window get multiplied by 10 for the purposes of calculating the "cumulative itunes" total.

      I thought so too (which is why I said "if" the bonus was applied to every purchase), but people keep arguing with me so ... ?
    • The Voice will probably change that rule if Meghan gets too close for comfort. :P

      But in that case, I think the math is something like..

      15,000 (probable average of downloads per voting period) X 7 = 105,000 and that's probably the X10 amount..which makes it 1,050,000 + 332,000 (sales not included in the X10 bonus) and it's 1,382,000

      For Meghan it would be 15,000 X 3 = 45,000 X 10 = 450,000 + 149,000 = 599,000

      Which means that Sawyer should be going into the finale with about a 800,000 vote advantage (probably a little more given these are estimates..)

      Does this seem right?

      Great Things Come In Small Packages
    • 1000 people with 100 fake email addresses each and his vote lead is wiped out ... I still think that iTunes votes do not matter compared to regular votes.

      The performances for tomorrow are still eligible for the top 10 bonus (not the coach duet I think), but someone pointed out at the Sawyer forum that the Billboard Music Awards will probably bump sales and that will make getting into the top 10 harder.

      Very true. LBT performed Girl Crush again, and will likely get a huge bump, among others. I haven't paid much attention other than the hot mess by Brittney Spears. <X
      What if I told you that was Britney's best performance in years...

      I love Brit..small victories.

      But yea, it's likely only Sawyer gets into the Top 10 tomorrow. Although Blake's fans could surprise us again.

      Honestly though....there's more likely to be 1000 People with 100 fake emails voting for Sawyer than any of the other 3.
      I agree, but people are going to insist that he only won because of the iTunes votes.
      I"m glad there's someone else who thinks this way. Idol always reported things like 75 million votes. And although I don't think The Voice gets that much..I think they get enough to where Itunes is a sample size..not actually the difference maker.

      I could be wrong, but I thought the 75 million votes was actually from the beginning of S13 after they introduced the SuperVote. Although with Idol you could do 50 votes at a time (as opposed to the Voice with 10 votes at a time), I think it is actually easier to generate votes for the Voice. The SuperVote requires valid Google and Facebook accounts ... both of those companies will shut you down if you try to create too many accounts. With the Voice you just need email addresses ... real or fake.
    • Dang it ....I wrote a little bot script to vote with but it still takes 6 seconds to create an email address, login and vote. With zero faults to recover that is only 8400 votes in the 14 our window. Maybe I could PM some of the Meghan stans on twitter but I'd need over a hundred to toss in 1M votes or so. Hummmm.....the melt down would be so entertaining. What to do ...what to do. :evil:
